The growing development of facilities in these islands makes it also a suitable destination for those who would like to spend their entire trip in an exotic paradise. Departing from Sanur or Padang Bai port by fast boat will only take you 25 minutes.

The closest group of islands, Pulau Penida, consists of Nusa Lembongan, Nusa Ceningan and Nusa Penida. The most visited island is Nusa Lembongan with a bigger range of tourist infrastructures. Surrounded by coral reefs and low limestone cliffs, it is a well-known destination among divers. As the name implies, Dream Beach, a white sand beach located on the south side of the island, is a dream spot for beach lovers with its vibrant aqua color waters. A boat trip among the mangrove is another activity of interest to do during your stay. There is also a couple of yoga studios that can host retreats or trainings.

Lembongan is connected to the smallest island, Nusa Ceningan, through a suspended bridge that can be crossed only by feet or motorbike. Its inhabitants are mainly seaweed farmers and it is possible to visit them to get to know their way of farming.

The less known but no less interesting is the biggest of the three islands, Nusa Penida. With very few tourist facilities, it is the perfect journey for curious travellers. It is the most populated island offering a typical traditional market, many seaweed farms and beautiful sceneries. It is worth to join a bike tour to explore the island and ride through the hilly roads. This stunning nature features limestone caves and spectacular high coastal cliffs with karst formations.

This island is a bird sanctuary, house of one of the most endangered endemic birds, the beautiful Bali Starling. Its waters offer an amazing diving and snorkeling experience, especially if you have the chance to spot the famous Manta Ray and the gigantic Mola Mola ‘sunfish’.

Another unique experience in this mysterious island is the visit to a cave named Goa Giri Putri. As the saying goes ‘Don’t judge a book by its cover’, you will be surprised with its inside formations after a very small entrance. There are 13 temples with various forms of architecture. Located in different areas inside this cave, they are assigned to specific praying purposes, such as safety, prosperity, spiritual pureness and release of negative energies. The last temple next to the exit is clearly related to Chinese culture and a Buddhist and Confucian place for worship. As a unique spiritual tour, you can also visit the other 2 temples on the island related to the cave, Puncak Mundi and Dalem Ped Temple. These sites offer a unique meditation experience and a recommended visit for spiritual travellers.
